Dawki road trip from Shillong: We explored Meghalaya with our friend. During Day 1 we covered Dawki/Umngot River, Bangladesh border and Krangsuri waterfall. In this vlog we have shared our experience about India's crystal clear river.
We booked a local cab from Shillong (Bishu - 070056 24167). Sharing his number in case you are looking for a cab service.
We started our journey at around 9 am. The ride was very smooth and we got a pleasant surprise midway when bright sunny day turned into a cloudy. The entire journey became very pleasant.
We stopped at a view point from where we could see the beautiful valley.
There are not many restraunts at Dawki so our cab wale bhaiya told us to better take the lunch on the way.
Dawki is about 80 Kms from Shillong and it took us 3 hours to reach there.
We have seen many videos and pictures from this place but witnessing the beauty from our own eyes was all together a different experience.
We did boating and the cost was 800 Rs. for 45 mins for 3 person. We were amazed by the beauty of this crystal clear river. We saw many fishes as well and local do fishing in this river.
We tried some Bangladeshi local food like Ber ka achar and Jhalmuri sold by the vendors near the Bangladesh border.
