Tempelhof Airport was transformed into a massive city park in 2010, featuring taxiway signs and runway markings still visible from taxiways as well as trees covering many tracks. Of particular note are its iconic water tower covered in rust as well as its 1940 train engine that remain highlights for visitors to enjoy.

Jewish Museum

In the years when Berlin Wall divided the city, this open space became known as "No Man's Land." Guard towers oversaw this zone where sand traps and other forms of physical obstruction were placed to stop East Berliners from fleeing to West Germany.

After the wall fell, artists created an East Side Gallery by painting murals on its 3-mile-long stretch - one of Berlin's most moving sights to see! You'll need a map for entry. Free entry.
