An aircraft-themed restaurant has opened up in Vadodara, Gujarat, much to the amazement of the people with a desire to enter into an aeroplane and enjoy the royal benefits.
As per the latest report, the restaurant was opened for the public on 25th October. Mr. Mehmood Mukhi, the managing director and the owner of the restaurant stated, "An Airbus 320 was bought from a company in Bengaluru to build this restaurant. Each part of the aircraft was brought to Vadodara and it was remodelled as a restaurant".
He further added, "The restaurant will make you feel like you are travelling in a real-life aircraft. Different food options are available here, including Punjabi, Chinese, Continental, Italian, Mexican and Thai."

How different is the experience for the foodies?
The restaurant will give you a unique feeling of travelling in an aircraft for real. It even creates a virtual reality effect of takeoff and vibration; a thrilling experience indeed. The staff are all dressed up like cabin crews. Besides, news and announcements occur in frequent intervals to impart the feeling of travelling in an aeroplane. Just like in an aircraft passengers are alerted during takeoff and landing, similar moments are created inside the restaurant for the guests.
Varying food options are available for the foodies. You can order and enjoy dishes from many cuisines - Chinese, Italian, Mexican, Continental, Thai and the local cuisines too.

What was the mindset behind this amazing creation?
The restaurant is the brainchild of Mr. Mehmood Mukhi. As per him, many people in India are deprived of travelling in an aircraft or even sit inside in an aircraft. He wanted to create something for them and the idea of an aircraft-themed restaurant clicked his mind.
The task was challenging yet doable. He bought an Airbus 320 scrap from a Mehmood Mukhi, the owner of Highly Aircraft Restaurant witnessed that common people had less opportunity to travel by flights or even sit in an aircraft. This inspired him to open an airplane-themed restaurant in Gujarat. To put his plan to action, he bought an Airbus 320 scrap aircraft rom a Bengal-based NAG company in Bangalore. It costed him INR 1.4 crores. Then slowly he purchased rest of the parts from Vadodara and created the entire aircraft. Currently the capacity to accommodate guests is 102. Located at the Tarsali shortcut in Vadodara, you can experience even late dining experience at the restaurant.

The restaurant has been named as "HighFly". Interestingly, it is nineth in the world and fourth in India. There are other eight such aircraft-themed restaurants across the world - Taupo in New Zealand, Accra in Ghana, Ludhiana in Punjab and Mori in Haryana. The initial completion of the project was delayed due to the pandemic.
