The thought process behind the creation
Syed Wasim Shah is the pioneer behind the creation of the igloo cafe. He had observed this concept years back in Switzerland where hotels made of snow, had the provision for lodging and eating. So he thought of introducing in Gulmarg since the region experiences considerable amount of snowfall.
The construction took almost two months to complete. People have already started visiting the cafe for a selfie, a tour inside its space and enjoying the food. It has gained considerable popularity among the travellers throughout India. Some even querying about the temperature and the menu.

Foods from the traditional Kashmiri cuisine are being served to the guests at the cafe. The spreads include Kashmiri Khewa, mutton, chicken tikka, and the vegetarian dishes; sumptuous and mouth-watering.
