Day 1

As I said earlier once you become a traveler, once you taste the unknown, the very soul within you screams to feel it again and agian and when it comes to Himalaya, it always feels like the same old string of the fevourite guitar.

We heard a lot about Triund, another mystic abode of lord Shiva. We planned for this on a fine tipsy afternoon in a beautiful rooftop just beside the Manali Mal. So the very next day we took a bus from Manali to Dharamshala. It was a hectic yet serene 12 hours journey and when we reached lower Dharamshala it was already 6 in the evening.

We took a share cab for 150/- and reached Dharamshala Chowk at around 7 O'clock. To find a hotel within 500/- was not that hard and we got a private balcony. The cream was a bit heavy for that night resulting a tiring and hungover morning.

Day 2

Anyways,  beside those hangovers we had to go for Triund that day. We had some delicious momo from the streets of Dharamshala and took an auto for Dharamkot. It was 50 bucks for each. At around 7:30 in the morning we started walking from dharamkot. After half an hour we took a hault at Gallu Devi Temple. There is another trail for Triund which comes from Bhaksunag waterfall and connects here in Gallu Devi Temple and from here its the unipath. We took the one from dharamkot because another one required a guide.

The Sun was yet to rise and the mist was too thick to see a person from one hand away. It felt spooky sometimes but its ok, this is himachal, you have come this far from kolkata only to witness this. The old forest path reminded us of those who goes daily to Triund only to meditate. It was always shady and chilly.

After 3-4 hrs trekk we reached Triund. Shortly the terrain was mostly Alpine forest with waterfalls in between. And for beginners it will catch you breath in the end else its a very easy trek.

We took a hault there for 2 yours and it was already raining. There are plenty of food stalls and camps at triund. Standing there you can see the entire    Dhauladhar Himalayan range.

And in the end we always feel very safe in himachal and HRTC , you are a beauty.

Some paths are always beautiful.

There are some food stalls on the way but don't expect much as they are very basic and expensive.
