Kasol is a village in Himachal Pradesh, northern India.
It is situated in Parvati valley, on the banks of the Parvati river, on the way between Bhuntar to Manikaran.
It is located 42 km east of Kullu at the height of 1640 meters. It is popular with tourists many of whom also visit nearby village of Tosh, Malana, Kheerganga, Chalal, Rasol.
Ideal place for youngsters who want break from the monotonous life of the city.
ITINERARY : (June 11 – June 13, 2016)
June 11-Day 1 : Arrived in Kasol & hiked to Tosh
Left from Delhi around 4.45 pm (on june 10) by ordinary bus hrtc (₹615) at isbt Kashmere Gate, New Delhi. It took 12-13 hours to reach Bhuntar where all the buses drops every passenger heading to Kasol.
Reached Bhuntar at 6.30 am. Took public transport local bus from Bhuntar to Kasol (₹90 /100).
Kasol is 30km. away from Bhuntar. It will take 2hrs approx. to reach Kasol. You can also take taxis which will charge you up-to ₹400/600(must bargain).
Reached kasol at 8.00 am.
As soon as you will enter kasol you will find various restro’s near the bus stand
You will get ample no. of hotels to check-inn.
-Alpine hotel (₹1200-₹5000)per night.
-Little Italy hotel & restro (₹2500 starting per night).
-You can also get maal or stuff here in the restro.
-Kasol inn guest house near bus stand.
-Rest of the guest houses inside the streets.

We hiked to tosh on the same day around 10.30 am.
You can also trek from kasol to tosh (18 km.)
Tosh is 18 km. from Kasol. We took bus from Kasol to Manikaran (₹10).
Another bus from Manikaran to Barshaini (₹50). You can take shared taxi which will cost you around ₹100 or ₹200 depending on the number of people or else it will cost you ₹400-600.
After reaching Barshaini, we started our trek till Tosh which is only 2 km.
Took us 2 hours to reach tosh (with fast speed). Reached Tosh at 12.30 pm.
You can also take taxi from Barshaini to tosh which will cost you up to 400 bucks.
There is a wooden bridge (cross it) when you reach tosh. At the starting point there is a hotel which will charge you ₹800 per night.
Also you can hike higher where you can find other guest house such as Pink Floyd guest house and restaurant (₹800 per night). Food is quite good as well the picturesque scenery.
On the way to Pink Floyd hotel , u may find hill top guest house, small eatery place called supersonic cafe which is the best of tosh as far as i came through.
Spent our night in sunshine guest house in Tosh (just at the entrance of tosh).
June 12-Day 2 : Tosh - relaxing & chilling
Breakfast at supersonic cafe, a small hut amidst mountains.
Hike to higher point till Pink Floyd Guest House (took 15 min).
The weather of the Tosh is so amazing than Kasol. You will get lost in the mountains and the air, so fresh and the view are breathtaking as you go up.
Spent whole day amidst mountains of Tosh chilling and relaxing.
Spent another night in Tosh at Pink floyd guest house.
You may visit Malana or trek to kheerganga as well from Tosh.
June 13-Day 3 : Back to Manikaran & Kasol
Started our hike at 7.00 am. from Tosh, reached Barshaili at 8.30 am.
Took the bus from Barshaili to Manikaran (₹50).
Reached Manikaran at 9.am
Then we visited the Manikaran Gurudwara, temples, & so called famous hot spring inside the shiva temple (there is nothing much to see in Manikaran).
1 hr is enough to spend at this place.
We left manikaran around 10.30 am. by bus to kasol. Buses are available after every 15-30 minutes gap. Services of local buses is quite good or we just got lucky though.
Reached Kasol, had our breakfast at Bhoj cafe.(will cost ₹500-600 for two).
Then had another breakfast at Little Italy cafe. (my fav)(will cost ₹500-600 for two).
Spent quality time near the bridge.
Left Kasol around 2pm. for Bhuntar cz all buses for Delhi starts from Manali or bhuntar only. It took 2.30 hrs to reach Bhuntar due to traffic, cz Kasol has become so over-hyped and crowded & polluted as well.
Board the HRTC semi deluxe bus at 7 pm from bhuntar to reach Delhi.
Reached Delhi at 8.00 am, on June 14.
There are two points to board the bus – for local hrtc buses there is proper bus stand and to board volvo and hrtc semi deluxe buses u need to go to another point near airport hotel.
