Goa is generally popular for parties, beaches, bike rides, nightclubs and great food. Many people who like to travel to places with solace often choose Karnataka or Tamil Nadu. South India offers quiet and pristine views set amidst nature. You don't need to tread to South India if you are looking for a pristine getaway set in the middle of nature.

Casa De Amor - home away from home in Goa

With Casa De Amor, I enjoyed the best of both worlds in Goa. I found a piece of solace along with everything else that Goa has to offer. A sprawling Portuguese style villa which is hidden from the traveler's eye, Casa De Amor is located in Anjuna.

Set in Anjuna - The mystical art capital of Goa

Anjuna has a reputation for being everything that a traveler needs in Goa. It is located centrally and houses some beautiful places which celebrate art. Artjuna being a beautiful cafe which is dedicated to local Goan art and has multi cuisine food. Anjuna beach has some great street shopping and isn't very crowded. Overall, Anjuna has something for every traveller. It is a secret which is still waiting to be explored.

Casa De Amor's location is perfect for both couples and families which are looking for a getaway from the city life. Specially during times like COVID, when everyone is slightly anxious of staying in hotels, Casa De Amor is a safe place for everyone looking for a luxury experience which is well connected to nature.

What I like most about Casa De Amor

1. The villa is spacious and gives the same feeling as home

A place for togetherness with your family

The villa is a huge 5 BHK, with a living room, lawn, swimming pool, dining area, kitchen, terrace and everything else one can possibly want. The huge space around the villa makes you feel like you are where you want to be - at home. There is greenery visible in sight everywhere. Moreover, every window in the villa opens up to sprawling palm trees. The beach is very accessible from the villa - adding a charm for a sunrise or sunset walk. Hence, you feel like you have a piece of solace amidst a place which is otherwise very happening. If you are a writer, you can immerse yourself completely in your work here. The villa in itself is a creative inspiration set in the middle of nature.

2. The pool and lawn outside the villa are to die for

A promise of solitude

The villa also houses a beautiful lawn and a pool. During times like the pandemic, when we are all tired of staying indoors, Casa De Amor helps us get much needed solace. Having a family picnic in the lawn or grabbing lunch there is definitely the best part of the day. City dwellers don't have the luxury of eating food outdoors. Casa De Amor turns the country life dream true with the sprawling space outside.

The pool is beautiful with lights lit in the evening. A dip in the pool after sunset is a luxury you can only enjoy at Casa De Amor.

3. There is a huge open field in front of the lawn

Generally Goan hotels are packed in the middle of bustling streets with not enough space around them. Casa De Amor being a stand alone villa has a perfect location. An open farm is located right in front of the lawn. Hence, the area is very green. Goa is known for it's palm trees and beaches. You can enjoy both at Casa De Amor.

4. The paintings in each room will fill your heart with solace

A great spot to work from home

The interiors at Casa De Amor are well planned to make families and friends feel at home. The paintings in the living room, dining area, open spaces and rooms represent Goan heritage and culture. All paintings are related to ports, ships, beaches, sailors and oceans. The beauty of the paintings is that they really remind you that you are in Goa for a holiday. Working from home at Casa De Amor is also more pleasant and laid back. With sufficient working spots around the house which are still more laid back, one can truly relax even when they are working. For creative professionals, the place really has a vibe where you can feel inspired and turn your ideas into reality.

5. The food at the villa is extraordinary

What one truly needs during their break is great food. With a great in house chef who has experience at Gordon House in Mumbai, the multitalented chef can prepare almost every cuisine. For every meal, we had a different cuisine planned for us by the chef. I would recommend everyone to try the Asian Food prepared by the chef at Casa De Amor. For families and groups of friends at the villa, the chef is very accommodating and takes everyone's preferences into consideration for the meal.

The chef prepared some great pancakes for us too. We started each day with great breakfast. Everyone enjoyed food on the dining table together and we played in the lawns and swam in the pool everyday. It truly felt like home.

6. The interiors and design at the villa are memorable

Stunning interiors

The interiors of the villa are portuguese and Santorini style. Majority of the colours at the villa are yellow, blue and white. There are cute pebbles places in the outdoor area near the rooms on the ground floor. The souvenirs placed around the house are also well planned. If you notice everything, you are likely to find many statues and objects in the house which resonate with you. A particular thing I cam across in the house were a pair of binoculars which were hiding out of plain sight. The binoculars reminded me of sailors in Goan villages who explore the Arabian sea for months at an end. Every corner of the house had something of deep value and thought which was waiting to be explored.

7. The place is designed for togetherness and solace

The living room has a lot of board games which families can enjoy together. The TV in the living room is equipped with all streaming apps which can be streamed for a movie night with family and friends. The dining area is perfect for a family seating.

Overall, Casa De Amor has abundant space for family and friends to enjoy time together. It is a place which is "home away from home" and gives you the taste of a better life with values based on togetherness.

When are you planning Goa next?

Make that trip soon and make sure that you enjoy the best of both worlds when you are there.
