If you’re in Dalhousie, you must not miss out on Khajjiar! It’s unlike any other meadow you would have seen. Known for its nine-hole gold course, in the midst of lush greenery; this beautiful meadow which also has a lake leaves quite an impression on everyone! You can also make a day & trek to Panch Pulla, which means five bridges. This is a favourite with the locals & tourists alike. A 2 kilometre trek from Dalhousie, it can be a fun activity to do with the family!

If you love wildlife, you can also explore Kalatop Wildlife Sanctuary, which is home to many animals like leopards, jackal, Black Marten etc.

A must-see here is the Tsomgo lake which is the most beautiful glacial lake located at 12,310 ft. Because of the height, the glaciers rarely melt here. This wonderful 1 km long lake is an absolute surreal beauty!

You must not miss the Rumtek Monastery. A peaceful place & the largest monastery in Gangtok, this one is located 23 km from Gangtok town. It has been built in grand Tibetan architecture & a replica of the monastery in Tibet!

You can also make a day out of trekking to the Ban Jhakri waterfall, a popular with the locals, this 100-ft waterfall is a sight to behold!
