IRCTC, a public sector undertaking operating under the Ministry of Railways, has been at the forefront of offering a variety of comfortable and affordable tour packages in India, with some unique experiences.
One of the latest initiatives of IRCTC is a Bharat Gaurav Train tour in South India, which has been introduced from Ahmedabad.
Departing from Sabarmati Railway Station on June 24, the train will take tourists to prominent destinations like the Tirupati Balaji temple, Rameshwaram temple, Ramanathaswamy Temple, Meenakshi temple, Vivekananda Rock Memorial, and some of the best beaches around Kanyakumari, and will return on June 30.
Passengers have the convenience of booking their tickets and boarding the train from multiple stations including Sabarmati in Ahmedabad, Nadiad, Anand, Vadodara, Surat, Vapi, Kalyan, Pune, and Solapur.
The accommodation at the destinations will vary based on the class of travel. Passengers travelling in AC class will have accommodation in AC rooms, while sleeper class passengers will be provided with economy-class rooms.
Indian Railways has introduced the concept of operating tourist trains on theme based circuits under the banner of Bharat Gaurav Tourist Trains. The journeys undertaken on these trains are on the diverse circuits which are offered in the form of tour packages wherein services like off-board travel and excursions by buses, stay at hotels, tour guides, meals, travel insurance etc. are provided along with comfortable train journey and allied onboard services.
