'When in doubt, get out.'

It sounds weirdly funny, doesn't it? When we sit down in a silent room to introspect, we ask questions to us like 'what am I doing with my life?, Why am I doing this?, What do I really want?'. I think that's what happened to Elizabeth Gilbert one night that she decided to leave everything behind, just to travel the world and she ended up with the book 'Eat Pray Love'. Traveling alone helps us to find the answers we have been looking for all the time. Away from the city life where we stay stuck in the daily routines, traveling gives us an escape and time to spend with ourselves.

It's a way of discovering yourself.

So check out these places in India where you can spend some time alone in the serene atmosphere and can discover yourself.

This is the best place to discover yourself. You can get a room in any ashram, join the people doing Yoga in morning in the ashram and spend the rest of the time with yourself, roaming in Rishikesh, sitting beside the river, and seeking the answers.

Gangtok is the paradise of North East India. It has the amazing view of the third highest mountain peak in the world, Kanchenjunga. It's a best place to spend some time alone and to get disconnected from the bewildering city life.
