Day 2

Start your day with an early morning safari to explore the park's wildlife. The best time for a safari is early in the morning, as it increases your chances of spotting animals.

After the safari, take a short trek to the Jeypore Rainforest, which is known for its variety of bird species. The rainforest is also home to a number of rare plants and trees.

After trekking for a few hours, visit the Hoolongapar Gibbon Sanctuary, which is located near the park. This sanctuary is home to the only ape species found in India - the hoolock gibbon. Here, you can witness these fascinating creatures swinging from tree to tree and interacting with each other.

In the evening, return to your accommodation and relax before departing back to Dibrugarh or your next destination.

Day 1

Have you ever been to Dibrugarh? If yes, then take out some time and ride on a bus or private taxi to Joypur from Dibrugarh.

Before starting your adventure to Dehing Patkai National Park, it's important to plan your travel from Dibrugarh to the park.

Dibrugarh is well-connected to other major cities in India via air, rail, and road networks. The nearest airport to Dibrugarh is Mohanbari Airport, which is around 15 km from the city center. There are regular flights from major cities such as Delhi, Kolkata, and Guwahati to Dibrugarh. Alternatively, you can also reach Dibrugarh by train or bus.

Once you reach Dibrugarh, you can hire a taxi or take a shared jeep from the city to reach Dehing Patkai National Park. The park is around 70 km from Dibrugarh town and will take around 2 hours to reach.

It's advisable to start early in the morning to avoid traffic and to ensure that you have enough time to explore the park on Day 1. Otherwise, you can start your exploration from early morning Day 2.

Upon reaching Joypur, an old township of in Dibrugarh district, Assam, you can check into your accommodation and freshen up before starting your adventure. Make sure to carry adequate provisions, comfortable clothing, and sturdy shoes for trekking. It's also recommended to hire a local guide to explore the park's rich flora and fauna safely and effectively.
