There are 28 States and 9 Union territories in the country. Each of these places is different in terms of the kind of language they speak, the sort of culture they follow and various other factors.

While people belonging to each of these different states celebrate their stay at their home state, do we know how happy they are?

If you are wondering what we are talking about, you'd be surprised to know that surveys are conducted in India to find out which states are happier than others.

By happiness, we do not mean identifying a state where people laugh or smile the most. The whole idea behind the survey is to identify the state where most people have jobs, earn well, are educated and if the state's economy is in place. Some of the other factors include: how safe people feel residing in the state, whether the environment is protected for carrying out various agricultural activities or not and so on.
