The whole of Mangalore is curious to see its beaches lit up by bluish-green lights across its shoreline. This phenomenon was found across the beaches in the city, namely NITK, Sashihithlu, Padukere, Malpe, Someshwar & Ullal.

Usually, sans people after sunset, the beaches were crowded with onlookers awaiting the glowing beach, which is visible two hours after sunset.

This sea of stars is caused by the light emitted by the organisms underwater. It is best observed during a no moon day or rather when it is pitch dark.

Pictures cannot do justice to what it looks in real. This rare occurrence is undoubtedly a treat to all the Mangaloreans.

Have you seen the beach at its absolute beauty?

If not, you need to include Mangalore in your travel wishlist.
