Been to Pachmarhi but missed Dhoopgarh?Well,then you have actually missed something.
Not many people know much about this place which is just a few kilometers from the beautiful hill station of Pachmarhi.And I decided to visit Pachmarhi only under one condition- Dhoopgarh!!This was the deal that I had with my dad.
NO DHOOPGARH, NO PACHMARHI!!
And thankfully things went my way.
For the first day,we did sightseeings at Pachmarhi.It's such a beautiful place in the lap of nature.
After completing all the sightseeing spots, we headed towards Dhoopgarh.Well let me tell you that the Madhya Pradesh government takes a certain amount of entry fees to Dhoopgarh ranging from Rs.1000/- to a few thousands depending on the number of heads.
WHERE TO STAY-
The nearest place to stay is Pachmarhi.There you will find quite a number of hotels to stay at.You can book beforehand or even after reaching there.But during the peak seasons, make sure you don't travel without booking in advance.
WHERE TO EAT-
Well,in Pachmarhi market,you will find a few restaurants.But the best place for lunch and dinner would be Rasoi Dhaba(completely my opinion).Though slightly costly,but the quality of food is worth the price.We all loved the place where the Dhaba has been made.The environment along with the food is the best.There's another adjacent Dhaba(I don't remember the name though) which serves the same best quality of food.You can choose between the two.Both Veg and Non-veg are available.
•The road to Dhoopgarh mesmerized me, added to the open jeeps which gives a thrill factor.It left me in complete awe.
•Once we reached Dhoopgarh,I was dumbstruck by the natural beauty.And it actually got justified to me why our India is said to be

•Another interesting fact,as we came to know is that Dhoopgarh(Mahadeo Hills) is the highest point in Satpura Range of Madhya Pradesh,making it a must in your travel list.
•The greenery all around will make you ecstatic.We kept wandering here and there covering the entire place enjoying the fresh air,capturing the beauty of the place in the eye of our hearts.
•There's also a museum which holds the history of the rich flora,fauna and also the waterfalls of Pachmarhi.We absolutely loved it..
Later we went to the sunset point and sat down there for around an hour or so.The view of the Satpura ranges from there is breathtaking and anyone will love it!!
Since we didn't have much time in hand, we had to leave before sunset and I am upset I couldn't enjoy the sunset.I plan to visit the place again to be a part of the mesmerising sunset view at Dhoopgarh.
Thousands of people throng into this place at the time of sunrise and sunset,which Dhoopgarh is famous for.
So make it sure you keep this place in your travel bucket list when you visit Pachmarhi in the heart of the country, Madhya Pradesh.
