Day 1

Whoever thought that such beauty could exist in our own city ???? Started off as an impromptu plan & a couple of permissions later we found ourselves in between a Jungle just 10 mins inside the most chaotic area of Borivali @SGNP..'Jambulmal' is considered as the highest point in Mumbai at 1535 Ft.

overlooking Vihar, Tulsi and Powai lake Enveloped by a dense forest in the core area of Sanjay Gandhi National Park, the trail is shorter from Kanheri Caves but we and our keedas made us take the longer 12km route from Bamboo Hut to Jambulmal.

It was soooooo Hot and humid we were shedding our layers of clothes with every km, the rain Gods were clearly teasing us through out the trek but not a drop of rain, along the path were insects, monkeys, spiders, snakes, ant hills and what we thought was a deer but it was a Leopard acc to the guide

This Jungle is dense, so you have to be extremely careful at every step cause what we thought was a Deer, turned out to be a Leopard according to our Guide. we stared in Silence when he said that and asked NOW WHAT? He said KEEP WALKING.. Then we asked what if we seem him again.. He said DON'T RUN..

At a point we almost gave up cause the heat was just unbearable but our man of the day Siddharth kept pushing us & the enthusiasm of Jlo who was a first time trekker and Angie & me the Pros who assumed the weather to be like himalayas.

THIS IS NOT AN EASY TREK AND BEST TO DO IT UNDER EXPERT GUIDANCE CAUSE IF YOU TAKE A CHANCE ALONE , YOU MAY NEVER RETURN.

ME AND MY CAMERA - NOW THIS WAS A STUPID MOVE, DON'T CARRY ANYTHING HEAVY IN YOUR BACKPACK CAUSE THE WALK IS LONG. IT IS EASIER TO DO THIS VIA KANHERI CAVES.

The walk down was a cake walk, but we by now had finished all our water& were again sipping the last drops coming out of our bottle & just waiting to get to our car (This is a long tiring trek & 3 ltrs of water is a must)Ended with us finishing the trek & collapsing near a stall who selling Cucumber
