Day 4

Last day, we checked out at 10:30 am after a lavish breakfast. We had our buses at 8:00 pm in the evening so today's itinerary had Murudeshwar temple, Eco beach, Edagunji temple and Mirjan fort. The plan was designed in a such a way that we get back to Gokarna by 7. We hired a cab for 2500/- and started for Mirjan fort.

Mirjan fort: We reached Mirjan fort in less than 30 minutes. Fort was really beautiful and the sun was luckily merciful. So we spent around 30 minutes, explored all the beautiful corners. The top of the fort has a very scenic view. Not at all crowded it was, sat in peace for sometime and then again started for Eco beach.

Eco beach: What a clean beaches Gokarna has man, absolute bliss! Beautiful beach it was, and there was only two of us on this 2-3 kms beach. Spent next 30 minutes admiring beauty and serenity of the beach and then again started for Murudeshwar.

Most awaited Murudeshwar : First sight of Shiva statue from 5 kms and that's it, I was awestruck. To all the second thoughts that u give to temples on a vacation this one will leave you speachless. Such a bewitching architecture it is. Both sides of the temple has beautiful beaches, fully crowded with people doing water sports. And amidst of the sea stands the second tallest statue of Adiyogi(Shiva). Entrance of temple is a beautiful 18 floor architecture ( Raja Gopura), that offers a panoramic view of Murudeshwar from the top which will become a part of you for the rest of your life. You can reach 18th floor by lift (20 rupees ticket per person) or it also has stairs. We thought of not spending more than an hour as we were running short of time but we ended up spending almost 2 hours. Temple has a cave which has sculptures of hindu deities. Do not miss this at all.

At the end i was so glad that i dint miss covering this place. Must visit. We started at 5 pm to head back to Gokarna.

Edagunji temple: If you have ample amount of time you can also visit Mahaganapti Temple in Edagunji.

Luckily evening arti was going so we stopped by for 20 minutes. Temple was good, but to be visited only if you are on a religious trip and have ample amount of time.

We reached Gokarna back by 7 pm, cab wala bhai was a real good driver, he dint let us miss any place if when we said lets drop plan for Edagunji we could be late.

End of trip, we boarded our buses at 7:30 pm and Day 5 was at office desk.
