Day 1
I decided to do something different on my birthday and go for a solo trip. Unfortunately your friends always back you up even if u don't want them to.We took the last Volvo to bhuntar on Friday and reached kasol next day in the afternoon. Once we got down from the bus in kasol we headed straight to Chalal because I wanted to live in total seclusion away from the maddening crowd. We discovered Maya in Chalal, the perfect home stay run by a Russian couple, the best host. The food the lady made was delicious using fruits and vegetables from her own garden.I never had tastier vegetarian food in my life ever and that too made by a Russian. It was delicious. As much as we wanted to spend more time here but the next day in the afternoon we decided to trek to kheerganga and spend the night there as it was my birthday. The trek was challenging towards the end because of the steepness, the rain and the complete darkness. But constant motivation and the will to see this place for the first time kept our spirits alive. We reached late around 8pm and quickly decided upon a single big room away from the regular crowd again.The reason we constantly looked for a secluded place is because we wanted to experience total calmness and serenity in the lap of nature(oh and no network ).So late at midnight in total darkness we decided to go for a birthday trek to a secluded hill.I have partied like crazy in Delhi but nothing beats this experience.It was the best birthday ever with 3 friends getting tranced in the middle of a secluded hill,extremly cold and pitch-dark with around 4 sleepy dogs accompanying you. How I loved every moment and enjoyed to the fullest.Unfortunately next day early morning after an exhilarating hot spring bath headed back to bhuntar and finally back to Delhi.Definitely going back and exploring more of parvati valley. Wish I had more time but Well that's all the time you get if you working as a corporate lawyer.
