Purani (Old Delhi) is a sensory overload. You can see heritage buildings, numerous markets selling decorative objects, smuggled books and saris. I love exploring the inner lanes on a saturday or sunday morning on a cycle or sometimes just walking. The best way to reach there is through the Delhi metro which has a stop at Chawri Bazaar. The highlight of the trip is definitely seeing the people around Jama Masjid on the prayer hour and the spice market from roof tops. The experience is bipolar, from chaotic Meena bazaars to peaceful side lanes and Sufi shrines.
