How to Reach

By Road: There are 3 options to travel by road: self-drive, hire a taxi, or take a bus. To get there, you have to take the main road of the island: from south to east, pass Astris village towards east. Further down, you have to follow the road (400-500m) and at the end of this road, you have to walk down the hill for 15 minutes to Giola.

By Air: Thassos is well connected to the two International airports. Kaavala International Airport is the closest (and smaller) airport and is a simpler route to reach the Island. From here, you will have to take the ferry which is a 15 minute drive.

From the farthest (and larger) airport, Thessaloniki International Airport, it'll take you approx. 2 hours to get to the ferry port in Kavala.

By Sea: The most convenient ferry which is accessible is the Keramoti - Limenas (Thassos Town) - the shorter, faster, cheaper, even popular and most frequent route. Takes about 40 minutes!
