If you’ve ever asked for recommendations for places to eat in Jaipur, this is the first name that pops up. It’s an old old classic–it opened back in 1949 and has been an MI Road landmark since. Serves veg, non veg and alcohol, too! Unless you’re craving chinese or have an upset stomach and need to have continental food, we’d suggest skip both and instead have their Rajasthani thali. It’s pretty good. WHERE: Panch Batti, MI Road,Tel: 0141 3319272 PRICE: 1,500 for two.
Day 6, 7 pm - Dinner at Niro's. We tried the Lal Maas, but were disappointed with the mediocre flavour. Go here only if you want bragging rights, otherwise you are better off finding another local restaurant.
For a quick i often visit NIROS on MI Road. It is a 60 year old restaurant that attracts a loyal following of celebrities and regular diners. I'm a vegetarian and love the paneer tikka masala, but friends tell me that the chicken version is equally fantastic.
