This is a tiny village in the gadag District of hampi. This place is known for the Chalukya style temples. There are as many as 50 temples, 29 inscriptions, 101 step wells and much more to see. An important temple out here is the Kasivisveshwaraya Temple. The other temples are Mallikarjuna, Mallikeshwara, Veerbhadra, Nanneshwara, Someshwara, Lakshminarayana and others. This place is also known for the Jain Settlements which were a major part of here in the early years. The kings ruling over this place were huge patrons of music and art along with temple art. This is the reason for which the Kannada language flourished highly over here.
