This is my favorite. It serves the best wood fired pizza. They serve pizzas in four sizes: Regular, Medium, Party and Large.
7:00 pm - Pizza at cafe Xtasi was so delicious and we were full, however we came across a place called "The smoothie bar" and had some awesome chocolate smoothies.
We visited the beach and relaxed there in the evening, there are couple of good beaches. You can go to rock beach or paradise beach. Driving through french quarters is in itself an experience. We had dinner at Cafe Xtasi, it is best in Pondicerry for pizza. The pizza here are wood fired and have awesome taste. You will be stunned on looking at the size of the pizza's here, just humongous. So, order the largest one and share the happiness.
i met few malayali students who came down all the way from Bangalore on a short trip. i returned back to my Guest house to take shower and short break and searched for good place for dinner again in zomato and found Cafe Xtasi Pondicherry.
Cafe xtasi is one famous cafe in Pondicherry. It has two units, one in Pondicherry and the other one in Auroville. We were too hungry and this one is near to Auroville beach. Famous for its pizza and burger, we ordered the same along with potato wedges, cheesy fries, normal fries and chicken wings. Food was good but pizza was ordinary.
You can visit some of the famous eateries like Auroville Bakery (fresh baked goods), Café des Arts (best crepes), Café Xtasi (Their pizzas are some of the best you’ll find at Pondicherry), Surguru (traditional South Indian meal), Right path café (Healthy Organic Food), Le Café (24 Hour Café).Shopping Places in Pondicherry: Pondi Sunday Market: Pondi Sunday market is a unique place that sells almost anything and everything under the sun. Both young and old come here to purchase cheap apparels, metal plates, cups, scarves, pots, shoes and lots more. The shops here are colorful and so are the items found here. On weekends and holiday occasions, the market is packed with eager buyers. Carry an umbrella in case you are stepping out or visiting this place in summer.Mission Street: You can browse for non-leather footwear, hand-painted silk clothing, perfumed candles, incense, oils, ceramics, jewelry, and handmade paper items to the accompaniment of artsy, esoteric music. There are also many cafes and restaurants in the area. Apart from shopping, Mission Street is a good place to walk around and admire old French architecture in the city.
Awesome Pizzas. Must visit if you a pizza freak like me. Though a small restaurant, the pizza and salads taste sure makes up for the small place.
This place is famous for Pizzas..do give it a shot.
