You are about to read about hidden paradise of Rajasthan-Goram ghat which is also unknown place for many people of Rajasthan.

We 5 friends started our trip from Jodhpur to Goram ghat so first we catches train to Marwar junction and reaches there and stayed in Ramdev hotel(paid 1000 rs for 5 people).

There are two trains from Marwar junction to goram ghat.

Ticket price from marwar jn to goram ghat is 10 Rs per person.

One is at 6.10 am which reaches goram ghat at around 8 am and second train at 11.20 am which reaches goram ghat at around 1 pm.

We catched 6.10 am train because we planned trek to shiv mandir and jogmandi waterfall both.

Most people come for jogmandi Waterfall only.

After reaching goram ghat we started trekking to goraknath temple(Shiva temple).

First we climbed almost 300 stairs and after that there is no proper path. After stairs path is muddy and narrow and full of slippery stones.

After crossing half the path we were confused that we are on right trek or not because there was no sign which guides or no people but suddenly we met few people coming down so our confusion ended.

As we were going upward and path were getting narrow and narrow so we had to use our both hands also to make sure our grip otherwise situation became worse if anybody slip from there.

We were on the trek of which one side there was ghati(valley) so one wrong step and life ends.

At one time path was so narrow that we had to rethink that we should move upward or not but we continued.

As we were reaching close to the temple, the path were getting narrow and narrow and only one person can pass at a time.

We took approx 2 hour 45 minutes including rest time and also had our lunch on the way.

In temple we ate puri, sabji and rice as prasadi.

There were so many langoor around the temple and fed by people come to temple.

Always careful about goggles, camera and other belongings because they can snatch from you.

The panorama view from temple was breathtaking and time was stopped there.

After few minute rest we started our journey downward and it is more dangerous than moving upward.

Because of slippery stones, mud and pebbles it was hard to control steps and ghati(valley) on one side made path more dangerous.

But we successfully and safely reached in 1 hour.

We took rest for 20 minute and then started our walk to Jogmandi Waterfall.

There are two ways to reach there, one path is just in front of station building and guarded by Forest department and they charge 55 Rs per person if you opt for that path.

And other path was crossing the bridges, which is opted by most of the people, but don't opt this path if you are afraid of heights.

To reach there we started walking toward the railway line and crossed 3 bridges and enjoyed the beauty of mother nature.

First bridge having sigh board named ghoda ghati, second bridge sign board Kachhbali nala and third was jogmandi.

There were steps downward on the the left side of the starting of Jogmandi bridge which leads to jogmandi Waterfall.

After reaching Waterfall we spent almost 1 hour or more in water because we were dead tired but beauty of Waterfall as well as heavy flow of water giving massage to body acted as medicine for tired body. There were also langoors near waterfall so we kept our bags safely under the big Stone.

After taking so many photographs and eating food there we walked to station to catch our train to marwar junction.

From marwar junction we took bus to pali(40 rs per person) and from there bus to jodhpur(60 rs per person).

Journey ended but memory remains forever.

IMPORTANT NOTES-

1-Never try the trekking to temple if you are with family or your Fitness level is not suitable for such kind of dangerous trek.Always trek in group so if something happens make sure help available.

2-Don't be over smart on this trek because your one wrong step can take you directly to God.

3-If there is raining or trek is wet then don't trek.

4-If you are height phobic don't opt for bridges route because there is no railing on these bridges so better opt another path which is guarded by forest department.

5-Small waterfall on first 2 bridges but jogmandi Waterfall on third bridge so don't get confused.

5-Carry enough food and water with you because there is only one temporary stall set up by one man and sell water, chips and biscuit.

6-Only 2 local trains are there for marwar junction, one is at 1 pm and last train is at 5 pm so plan accordingly. There is no accommodation in goram ghat so catch last train at anyhow.

7-Goram ghat is forest reserve so don't think about spending night there because it is abode of bears and panthers and many animals.

8-If you are planning to go by own vehicle then you can go upto phulad railway station from jodhpur or marwar junction but after that there is no road option so catch train from phulad mentioned in blog.

9-If you planning to trek then keep at least 3 liter water per person because no water available during trekking.

10-Best time to go is monsoon season so august to September first week is best time.
