I packed my backpack for a trip to danushkodi one of the best tourist place in tamil nadu. From trivandrum to nagarcoil i took a train and from there at 10 pm i got into a train to rameshwaram.
I reached neeleshwaram about 3 am in the morning. As the railway had some issue with paamban bridge, they arranged bus for all the passengers to danushkodi. I saw paamban bridge and it was so amazing. Drank a tea from local teashop in rameshwaram and took a local bus to danushkodi
Route to danushkodi is straight. About 5 km towards the ocean. I could see sea on both sides. Reached danushkodi at 5 am and waited for sunrise. The scenery was lit. I have never experienced such a sunrise. I spend most of the time taking photos and playing with sand. I spend a whole day there.
I waited for sunset but it was getting too daek so decided to go back. The bus service was available but i walked over 3 km. But i didn't even feel it. My buddies gave me company and we reached rameshwaram back at night. Feom there i took a train back to nagercoil and rached there next morning and returned to trivandrum
. . As most of my journey was in train and bus, the total expense was below 700 and my two night were in train. It is one of the best trip i have ever made.
