Situated in the Raisen district of Madhya Pradesh, Bhimbetka Rock Shelter is approximately 45 KM from Bhopal. It is declared as UNESCO world heritage site. After reaching here you can witness the glimpses of prehistoric paleolithic and mesolithic periods. You can visit seven hills and over 750 rock shelters which is spread over over 10 kilometers. It is said that some of the painting of Bhimbetka rock shelters are as old as 30,000 years.
