So, Devi Pindi is an ancient Hindu temple located in the hills of Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir. It is around 40 km far from Jammu city and one can hire a local taxi or use their own vehicle to reach the destination.

As some of you must know that Devi Pindi is also believed to be the same shrines of Mata Vaishno devi. So we started our journey from Jammu around 11:30 AM and reached the destination of our trek around 12:45 PM . The road is great, smooth and lovely to ride with lot of sight seeing's. The last 5-7kms are kind of little bit difficult, so i suggest only experienced drivers should drive that part. After reaching the starting point i was mesmerized with the scenic beauty it had.

I thought that i was standing in Jibhi with same lush green mountains , less human life and small streams carrying almost blue water in them. Oh it was an amazing feeling to be there just to know that for next few hours i will be amongst it. Around 1 PM we started our trek which is said to be a 2.5km trek but believe me it is more than that. This is an offbeat trek and there are only some nomads living in this forest that too helps the trekkers to guide them. I also noticed that since it is a very less crowded place , the locals living there also use some kind of whistles to communicate with each other , which is helpful for both a person who has lost its way as well as their main motive of communicating with fellow persons. The path is great and you will find immense flaura and fauna there. A river will be running besides it and you can have a bath in it. The best place which i found to have a bath was after reaching the temple and there is place hidden there which is nearly difficult to reach but feels like an oasis. Let me also warn you , there is a very low network area in the last half km of the trek. Neverthless this whole small trek is one of the most amazing experiences of Jammu and kashmir and i hope everyone needs some solace and a sense of adventure in their life. This place has it all.

Thanks
