Day 1

The day started with most beautiful sunrise as it was 4:30 am when we get down from our bus. If you are traveling via Delhi buses this is the time by when you will be hitting this mesmerizing place and trust me it is worth it.

Chilling winter and you are just roaming around with your bagpack. You are so much in love with the golden rays coming from behind the mountains that you don't want to miss out even a second of it.

Thenafter we checked-in our hotel. Had some awesome parathas at Library Chowk as our hotel was near that. You can find several years stall and food points near Library Chowk. After having our breakfast we went exploring the Camel Back Road. It is worth every bit for an amazing Morning Walk. You can enjoy the beauty of snow caped peaks while exploring the Camel back road. You can also take a bike/bicycle on rent as they are easily available throughout the Mall Road. After finishing our walk we just sat down at Library Chowk Viewpoint Area. It is having sitting area with beautiful valley view of the Doon valley.

By 2 in the afternoon we started for George Everest Peak. You can hire a cab as they are easily available from Library Chowk. As we find them little bit out of our budget at that time and we love walking in the hills, so we decided to explore every bit of it by our own. The roads are good you can easily avail water and snacks through out the way. Before George Everest there is a Maggi shop, the Maggi and ginger tea was truly amazing.

If you have hired cab it will drop you till here only. You can trek from this point if you love trekking. It's about 2-3 km from there. But do start a little bit early so that you can enjoy the sunset from the top. Wear some warm clothes as it's really freezing by then. It took us around 30 mins as we were exhausted by the long way and cold, but when you reach on the top all your exertion is just gone.

The view, the sound of the wind is truly breathtaking. I enjoyed the most beautiful sunset I have seen till now. It's so peaceful coz most of people return from the George Everest Laboratory. If you have time give this a shot, you won't regret it. After spending an hour we went down and it was dark by 8 pm. We just walked back to Library Chowk filled with peace and totally mesmerised by mother nature.

Maggi is always a good option
