Many Maldives resorts provide their guests with complimentary snorkelling gear. However, if your resort charges you for gear, then it’s better to pack your own before leaving home. During these social-distancing times, it would really be safe to use your own gear anyway!

The Maldives is one of the sunniest places in the world. The sunlight gets reflected from the surroundings, particularly at noon, and it gets pretty intense. So, don’t forget to pack your sunglasses to protect your eyes from the extreme brightness in the Maldives.

Although this may sound like an optional item, those who are looking forward to a photo session in paradise might find this extremely useful. However scenic it may be, the Maldivian surroundings seem to be a bit dull for the camera, with their constant blues and greens.
