While we went to Chandigarh many times as Chandigarh is State capital of Punjab. I belong to Punjab some 200 kms from city beautiful. There are number of tourist places in nd around Chandigarh, but this time I made a plan to visit very offbeat village Jayanti majri near Chandigarh. Jayanti majri is a village located in Mohali district of Punjab nd famous for jayanti Devi temple nd jayanti dam.
We started from Chandigarh around 11 pm towards jayanti majri village via pgi hospital, khuda lohara nd some other village. Jayanti Devi temple lies on hillock displaying beautiful views of jayanti majri village nd other surrounding. There are around 300 steps towards temple, the goddess looks stunning nd blessings of win so called jayanti. The Devi of win, one can also enjoy the scenic beauty of jayanti dam.
