Echo point is a place which is so named due to the phenomenon of echo ( in which sound reflects back to the listener). When one shouts from this end of the lake then the sound comes back to the listener after striking the hills on the opposite side of the lake. It is located in Munnar in the Indian state of Kerala. It's not only the echo but calm nature, scenic lake and lush green mountains that also attract the tourists. Depending on your luck you may spot a wild elephant family drinking water near the lake or the beautiful birds. There are many things you can do like just sit and praise the nature, boating in the lake, shopping from local shops and clicking pictures of views.
HOW TO REACH :
It is located 15KM far from the main city of Munnar on the main Highway. You have to hire a taxi for it. Best time to visit Kerala is in winters (October-March). But you can visit Munnar hill station even in summers.
