It was quite a long time that we had travel and it was a long weekend of Shivratri. So i convinced my friend to come for a trip. After seeing all the options some of the foreign options too..:p We decided to freeze Gokarna, to detox our corporate stress. We started our journey from Pune and booked Chirag Travels bus from paytm. If you planning make sure to take chirag because its dropping point is nearest from main town i.e Goakarna cross.
Finally we reached to Gokarna 6 AM in the morning on 2nd March 2019. It was all dark and cab people were waiting to charge hefty. In Gokarna Ola and Uber does not work so one has to take local transport only. If you are also reaching in the morning than tag along with other group and save. We also tagged with other group of 3 girls. Cab charged us some 500 for all of us. So it was some 250 for two of us. We booked coconut tree resort near Kudle beach and that resort guy was nice enough to come at 6.30 in the morning to open to greet and handover the keys for our room. We freshen up and moved to Kudle beach. After reaching the first expression was Ohh! what a beauty. All clean water...people enjoying dive-into water, yoga, meditation. All the positivity and serenity..:) On the beach we had tea because thats necessity for us. There are so many cafes on the beach so we had our breakfast and tea with the soothing view of Kudle beach. Afternoon we had food in our resort only because it was hot in the after and we do not want to suffer with cruel sun in the noon :p. Evening around 4.30-5 we got ready and headed to Gokarna beach. Gokarna beach is in right middle in the town. you will see all Goakrnis there along with the few foreigners. this beach is genrally occupied by locals and Indians. To roam within Goakrna you can hire activa or bike, it will cost around 300-400 rs per day. However we hired auto because my friend hand was fractured and yes with the one hand active she is doing the trip. Adventure Junkies!!!
So its day 2 and we moved to Zostel in the morning. It costed us 650 per person in the 6 girls dormitory. Zostel offers clean AC rooms. The best part is the view, the moment you come out you see the soothing view of Gokarna beach. If given a chance if will defiantly stay in the zostel again. They have the canteen which offers extremely good food. If you want to stay make sure to book in advance atleast 1 and half month before because most of the time is all booked. So after going zostel getting fresh we went to Om beach where we get ferry to goto half moon and paradise beach. Paradise is called the best beach in the Gokarna. Its like a mini island. However i liked Kundle each most personally. And the best part while in ferry we saw Dolphins. yes!!! we saw them in a pair. We had to wait for atleast an hour to get into ferry because they need atleast 8-10 people. Otherwise they charge 3k to take you for the ferry ride. We waited and gave 300 rs per person. Om beach has the water sports activity as well. We did not do because we already experienced this in Goa.
