Seethanadi Jungle Lodges

Day 1

This is one of the Jungle Lodges which I always wanted to visit . It belongs to Mookambika wildlife Sanctuary.

The Jungle Lodges concept is a day visit where the check in will be 1pm and checkout will be next day 10.30am.

While we saw the Way to Nature camp , I was excited thinking we finally arrived.
Soon as we entered , the path narrowed and there was no proper path. It was a rock laid path where the car can pass.

I already felt the forest feel.

We checked into the hotel and had very hot and nice lunch!
We had booked tented cottage.There are different cottages based on the prices like Tented , wooden and dormitories.

After sumptuous lunch we headed to walk around the property and went near the river and exploring around as it was vast .
In the itinerary , there was a coracle ride included , but due to more water it was cancelled.

By the time in the evening , we had nice chai with snacks , just feeling the forest and was ready for dinner.

Day 2

Seethanadi Nature Camp

The next day we woke up by 6 am and started heading for a hike into the forest.
We had been during rainy season and there were leeches expected.But it exceeded beyond expectations. There were manyyyy leeches ! The guide took us into the forest. It was very greenery and it is full of deciduous forest. The sun never reaches the floor here! There were full of mushrooms on the way and the forest was dense.

On the way back , we saw snake as well!!

Overall It was a very nice experience. Just a day out of all the network and with the nature fully.
