Day 1

Sikkim - "where nature smiles" is the land of mystic hills and jaw dropping backdrops dotting with scenic beauty, monestaries, adventure and friendly locales.

Getting to Sikkim-

By air- Bagdogra airport and By train nearest railway station Siliguri. Several taxi and government buses are available from Siliguri to Gangtok.

Where to stay: Many hotels are available at Gangtok with the facilities of basic modern amenities. Hotels can be booked online through OYO, Make my trip, so on.

Day 1: Changu Lake - Nathula Pass!

Take a day trip to Changu Lake and Nathula Pass to enjoy the paranomic views with snow clad mountains and bone chilling breeze to escape from the monotony of city life.

Day 2

Day 2. Rumtek Monestary- Explore the Monasteries!

Sikkim is the right place to experience and learn about Buddhists culture . Rumtek is one of the largest monestaries in Sikkim situated 23km from Gangtok amidst the serene environment and picturesque landscapes with those colourful prayer flags in the hills.

Day 3

Yamthang Valley- A valley of flowers is the perfect blissful escape to witness the magical beauty of the nature to satiate your wonder lust for serenity by making a day trip to this valley which is situated at 140km north of Gangtok.

Day 5

Day 5: Head to Guwahati where you can experience river Rafting at Teesta River in-between the way as it comes on the direction to Siliguri/ Bagdogra. The feeling that rejuvenates one while rafting through the chilling waves of Teesta River rafting along the lush greenery of the hills is an experience for lifetime.

Guwahati - How to get there?

Reach Siliguri from Gangtok hiring cab which will take around 3hours to reach the destination. Siliguri is the nearest Railway Station and many trains are available from there till Guwahati which will take around 9hours .

Nearest airport is Bagdogra which have direct flights till Guwahati which takes only half and hour to reach. If you are coming from other part of India then from Kolkata airport direct flights are available till Guwahati.

Day 6

Day 6: Guwahati- The land of river and hills.

The must visit place is Maa Kamakhya Temple and Umanada Island.

Maa Kamakhya is one of the 51st skahti peeths and is also known as bleeding Goddess as the Yoni of Maa Parvati has fallen at this place. This is one of the most visited Hindu placeses in Guwahati.

After visiting Kamakhya Temple one can head to Umanada Island through ferry service as the Temple is situated amidst the mighty Brahmaputra River. Ferries can be hired from kachari ghat at government rates which runs only till 4pm.

Love river cruise: If the pilgrimage trip is over by early evening then one can go for dinner River cruise at Alfresco Grand in Guwahati which gives the services of Morning, Evening and Dinner Cruise. So select accordingly with one's time to enjoy the view of majestic Bharamaputra and it's beauty.

Day 7

Day 7: Make a day trip to Magical Village Mayong and Pobitora wild life sanctuary.

It is situated at Morigaon district a small sleepy village, which is one and half hour drive or 2 hours from the city depending on your location. A perfect gateaway from the busy city life onto the lush greenery inbetween the hills on the way to the destination.

Burha Mayong Village - A village that was known for its magic to heal life of people for the uplipment of the society. But later the menu scripts of magic were being utilised for the destruction of humanity. So the people of the village decided to destroy it and save the people from the evil. Still some of the menu scripts are preserved secretly and are not revealed among the outsiders.

Pobitora Wild life Sanctuary- The best time to visit is from October till February which will give you a chance to see one horned Rhino and many other animals hiring a Jeep Safari or Elephant Ride.

Day 8

Day 8: Shillong - The Scotland of East!

On day 8th head to Shillong many share cabs are available and a private cab can also be booked which will cost around 2K. It takes only 3hours to reach Shillong and on the way one can visit Strawberry Village as it comes on the National Highway to Shillong.

A village named after a fruit also known as Sohliya Village. The best time to visit is in the month of love February when they celebrate Strawberry Festival.

Where to Stay in Shillong: Many hotels are available like any other cities which can also be booked through various online portals.

Day 9

Day 9.

Hire a cab online through NE taxi portal and make a day trip to Magical crystal clear water Dawki . The serenity and virginity of the water that will mesmerize you with it's awestruck clarity where the boat seems flying in air.

Then reach to Asia's cleanest village Mawlygnong Village where one can experience the blissfulness of nature also known as Gods own garden.

Day 10

Day 10: Cherapunjee a day trip- trekking to Double decker living Root Bridge. It takes almost 2hours to reach the spot then another two hours of trekking through the stiff stairs comprising on 7000 steps which test one's limit and not for the weak heart.

Evening at Shillong is cool with delicious mouth smacking Momos and Noddles in the bone chilling night of Shillong. Take a stroll in the Police Bazaar to try the flavours of Shillong and the shopping for you beloved ones.
