Surajkund International Crafts Mela is one of the most famous fair in Delhi & NCR, every year it happens during 1st to 15th February. It happens at the backdrop of Surajkund Lake, between Tughlakabad & Faridabad road. It organise by Haryana Tourism Department to promote Craft, Culture, Dance of various states of India as well as various countries. Many talented artists come from India and across the World to showcase their handlooms, handicrafts, Dance, Food and many more.

Surajkund means "Lake of the Sun" which is an artificial lake constructed in Aravalli hills. Surajkund International Crafts Mela 2016 is showcasing as its theme which is the major highlight this year amid millions of tourists visited. It is one of the important festivals of Delhi and NCR. Surajkund is mean to amuse large number of audience of Delhi, Faridabad, Gurgaon etc. This famous fair is to showcase cultural events, dance shows, folk music from different parts of India. People visit Surajkund to admire diverse blend of various cultures and traditions. Wide variety of handlooms & handicraft items, fabrics from Odisha, Bihar, Jharkhand, Telengana, Chattisgarh are the special attraction of the Surajkund Mela. The most distinguished feature of  Surajkund Fair is the the participation of all the Indian states along with few countries.

Ikkat Sambalpuri Sarees, a traditional Print handloom from Bargarh, Odisha, at Surajkund International Crafts Mela 2016, beautifully crfted jute bags was the attraction of West Bengal craft stall. Bhagalpuri Silk from has Bhagalpur, Bihar was also one of the great attraction of the Mela.

Main Attraction of the Mela was different gates like Sikkim Gate, Warangal Gate of Telengana state theme at the entry gate of the Mela. Traditional craftsmen (artists, painters, weavers and sculptors) from all parts of the country participate in this annual celebration named as the “Surajkund International Crafts Mela”. Craftsmen showcased items made from wood, metal, bamboo, iron, glass, textiles and stone. There a food festival covering some of the popular cuisines of Northern India was available there like Chole Bhature, Chole Kulche, Roomali Roti Kathi Kabab, Bhel Puri, Pav Bhaji, Kachori. Special Khullar Tea was served at Rs. 30/- only. Relay entertainment by every states and countries in the form of folk dance & theatre are also held there. Overall Surajkund was the place for Delhite to enjoy two long weeks in different taste.
