1. Istanbul - The capital city of Turkey is famous for its beautiful mosques, the bosphorous river cruise and shopping at the grand bazaar and spice market. A ferry can take you to the Asian side from the European side of Istanbul and vice versa.
2. Cappadocia - This place is famous for it's beautiful landscape with peculiar rock formations ("fairy chimneys"), hot air ballooning, trekking in the valleys and underground historical cities.
3. Kas - This is a seaside town on the Mediterranean coast known for its beaches, cafés and sunset cruises to the Kekova island.
4. Oludeniz - There is wonderful hiking trail from the historical town of Kayakoy to the beautiful beach of Oludeniz. The route takes you through the ruins of Kayakoy village (ghost town) and stunning views of the coastline to the town of Oludeniz.
5. Pamukkale - This area is famous for the terraces formed by a carbonate mineral left by the flowing thermal springs. The thermal spas of Hierapolis lie next to Pamukkale. The ruins of the baths, temples and monuments can be found here.
6. Ephesus - This was a city in ancient Greece built in the 10th century BC and was famous for the temple of Artemis which is one of the seven wonders of the ancient world. Ephesus is a tourist attraction as the ruins are a UNESCO world heritage site.
7. Sirince - This is a small village with beautiful views and houses with appealing architecture. Sirince is now synonymous with fruit wine, turkish icecream and coffee brewed out of a sand filled pan heated over an open flame.
8. Çanakkale - Ruins of the ancient city of Troy are found in this province. Replica of the Trojan Horse (from the Greek myth of the Trojan war) can be seen here.
9. Olympos - The eternal natural flames are found on Mount Chimaera above Cirali village near Olympos. They exhibit a natural phenomenon where flames vent out of rocks without the use of any fuel.
