As the sun goes down in the Lion City, skyscrapers shine bright, work-mode ends and flowing drinks bring people to life. And while you’ll find glitzy nightclubs and jazzy cocktail bars all across town, Singapore’s nightlife is as diverse as its 5.7 million multi-cultural population. You’ll find several after-hours establishments scattered across different neighbourhoods, catering to different types of crowds. At first glance this can seem overwhelming, but this list of some of the best party spots in Singapore should help.

Amazing Bars To Enjoy The Best Of Singapore's Nightlife

Atlas Bar

Ranked 15 on Asia’s 50 Best Bars of 2018 List by Time Magazine, Atlas has made its mark in the world with its unrivaled gin collection. Featuring a 15-metre-high ceiling and a three-storey-high gin tower showcasing over a 1,000 varieties of the alcohol, Atlas Bar definitely makes a statement. Their grand decor and opulent style adds to the bar’s unique vibe. If you’re here, don’t forget to give their signature gin cocktails a try. Trust us, it'll be the highlight of your tour of Singapore's nightlife.

Manhattan Bar

Located inside Regent Singapore, Manhattan Bar is inspired by the Golden Age of fine drinking–the 1920s. Its decor is modern with a touch old New York glam, giving it the look of a grand hotel bar. But it's the bar’s cocktails that are the main attraction. This luxuriously stylish place, which has the world’s first in-hotel rack-house, has been Asia’s Best Bar for two consecutive years. They create all their alcoholic concoctions in-house. Definitely give their signature cocktails – the New York Sour and the Manhattan – a try if you’re here.

Bitters and Love, Telok Ayer Street

Located within a row of unassuming shop-houses on the outskirts of Singapore’s central business district, Bitters & Love is a popular cocktail bar. Sharing a compact space with the Shoebox Canteen, it is set up in an industrial-style room with impressive interiors. Over the past seven years it has made a mark in the Singapore nightlife scene as the go-to-place for bespoke cocktails. Barring a set of six signature cocktails, their entire menu changes every three months. Their food menu with gourmet bar snacks, fresh seafood and other tidbits is equally impressive.

Native Bar by Vijay Mudaliar

Another Singapore bar that has made the World’s 50 Best Bars list is Native. Known for its bespoke cocktails featuring bizarre regional ingredients, this place takes the cocktail game to the next level. If you’ve not tried Native's infamous Antz Cocktail—a concoction made with real ants, you're definitely missing out. Vijay Mudaliar is the guy behind this concept bar and all its out-of-the-box creations, which are focused on scouring from the natural surroundings. This place is anything but conventional, so don’t go here expecting your regular gin and tonic.

Clarke Quay

Clarke Quay is one of the most iconic destinations in Singapore’s nightlife scene. With a wide range of chic pubs, restaurants and nightclubs located along the river, it offers something for everyone. Wednesdays are Ladies Nights and the weekends are buzzing with locals and tourists alike. There's no other place like Clarke Quay to get your groove on. Go bar hopping or get yourself in a club if you plan on dancing to the beats. Better yet? Make your way down to one of the establishments at the mouth of the river to have drinks with a view.

Ann Siang Hill

Ann Siang Hill is like the hip, younger cousin of Clarke Quay. It has a fun vibe and electrifying atmosphere that makes it quite a hit with youngsters. One of the marked features of this neighbourhood is the juxtaposition between the old and new. This is visible in the restored-shop-house architecture that is now home to the trendy shops and clubs. The entire street is dedicated to partying on Friday and Saturday evenings – the roads are closed for traffic and the crowd spills out onto the streets.

Mr. Stork in Andaz Singapore

Nestled on level 39 of Andaz Singapore, the relatively new Mr.Stork offers a quiet escape from the ever-bustling city. With dimly-lit tipi huts hidden amidst lush greenery while offering panoramic views of the skyline, this is the perfect place for a date. Their striking bronze pavilion bar adds to the vibe. Order a drink and take stroll along the cobbled paths as you get a 360º viewing experience.

Level 33

Perched atop the Marina Bay Financial Centre - Tower One, Level 33 is the world’s highest urban microbrewery. As the name suggests, it is located on the 33rd floor and boasts of some of the best views Singapore has to offer. We say that’s an ideal spot to unwind after a long day. All their fresh craft beers are brewed on site and served unfiltered and unpasteurised. If you’re a beer lover, you absolutely cannot miss this place on your trip to Singapore.
