Today marks the 21st year of Uttarakhand's existence. For seven years after being separated from Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand was called Uttaranchal. The state was developing to accommodate a completely different bandwidth of people from what it was used to. Dehradun became the new capital and the crowds started pouring in. Over the years, the roads, once lined with only trees for as far as the eyes could see were being replaces by buildings, public utility spaces, direction boards, LED street lamps, and hoardings for advertising the new and exciting ventures. Remote villages that had never been heard of by people from outside a 50-kilometer vicinity were creating extra rooms and activities to host people as experiential stays and home stays. This led to advancing to better facilities and connectivity. Today, Uttarakhand pulls traffic from across the world.

Celebrating the spirit of Uttarakhand, here are some interesting facts about the state.
