Lohajung is a dream, enclosed by chain of mountsin peaks and forest. Apart from the base station for Roopkund, Bedni Bugyal, Bramhmatal and many more this little hamlet in Chamoli attracts tourist. Small village in the edge of himalaya Nilganga valley on other side. It perched the elevation of 2350 metre. This charming little village is unlike other hill station, it would have still have remained hidden away from the outer world. Lohajung is connected by Kathgodam (Nearly railway station) as well as Haridwar / Rishikesh. This is just 260 km from Rishikesh. The village has a major crop Chaulai in different colours red, yellow and pink, which makes it beautiful. One can look at the awe-inspiring distant peaks, walk into the village and relax. Due to its small population this is an ideal place to camp. Lohajung and Wan is the last village to start trek to higher altitudes
