Buy essential oils and perfumes for some serious pampering

From essential oils like eucalyptus oil and lemon grass oil to massage oils and perfumes, Yercaud is a hub for buying natural products. A must visit is Bhavani Singh Perfumery which sells authentic oils and perfumes. It also has a small stall where you can buy and sip on some lemon grass tea when there's a nip in the weather.

How to Reach

Reach Salem and then it's 22 km uphill.

Regular buses are available from Salem but the best way to see and explore Yercaud is through a car or a bike. Book a rental car from the city you are starting your trip at or if you have your own car, drive up to the hills and enjoy most of these places for free of cost and splurge on some essential oils and food.

Yercaud has many options for food.

Budget - Saravana Bhavan Elite provides decent south Indian food. Splurge - Eat at GRT Nature Trails which provides multicuisine food. Also check out the glass bottom bridge while you're there.

Splurge - Spend a night at Great Trails Yercaud by GRT Hotels with enchanting views of the City. Or spend a night at Sterling Resorts where you get the best views of the hill station.

Watch the Sunset at Lady's Seat

If sunsets are your thing, make sure to visit Lady's seat. It is in the evening when you get to see the sun cast a glow on the hill station. Make sure you visit this place on a weekday.

Experience the cool breeze at Shevaroy Hills.

Located at the highest point of the hill station, you will get the best view of Yercaud from here. There is also a Shevaroyan Temple dedicated to Goddess Kaveri, which has a narrow cave.
