Modhera sun temple: There are very few temples which are dedicated to God Sun is situated in India. Modhera sun temple is one of them. The nearest city ahmedabad is just 100km away. You can stay over here, hire taxi, visit the sun temple and come back to ahmedabad. There are lots of food options are available during travelling through Highway.
The sun temple was built around 1026 AD by King Bhimdev. This sun temple is demolished by Mahmud Ghazni but still the ruins of temples are there. This temple is brilliant example of architecture. This sun temple is divided in three parts(Surya Kund, Sabha Mandap and Guda Mandap).
