Himachal Pradesh is referred as the 'Devbhoomi' by many devotees. Known for its majestic mountains, lakes, rivers, and gorgeous properties, tourists love visiting Himachal Pradesh. Although not all tourists visit the Himachal for its adventures, but many visit the state for a pilgrimage tour.

Keeping this in mind a pilot project has been launched by the Himachal government to enable online bookings.

Starting the online bookings with the well known 'Mata Chintpurni Temple' in Una district, this project will be helpful for Havan, Bhandara, and Jagran ceremonies in these temples and Shakti Peethas.

Himachal has become a pilgrimage site for many people from across India. And with a lot of people flocking to visit the Shakti Peeths, this initiative introduced by the state government is groundbreaking.

According to Hindu mythology, there are 108 Shakti Peeths. The five Shakti Peeths in Himachal Pradesh are Chintpurni, Jwala Ji, Bajreshwari temple, Chamunda Devi and Naina Devi.

The Government of Himachal Pradesh has initiated a pilot project to enable online bookings starting with the renowned 'Mata Chintpurni Temple' in Una district. Once this pilot project is successful, the e-connectivity service will be applied to the other prominent temples in the state.

The development of software is already underway to enable e-connectivity of the services. Ensuring convenience of the devotees, this service will make the visits certain.

According to the government officials this new initiative will connect the devotees with the temple priests, book slots for rituals, and make online payments. The Himachal Pradesh government recognised that tourists flock to the region for its nature beauty, adventure and religious visits too. Recognising this the state government has taken innovative measures to promote tourism and cater to the needs of devotees.
