I would suggest selecting a natural place like Himachal or even South India, where you can travel using cheap local transportation and stay in small villages.
Plan a solo trip to some under rated places in himachal or uttrakhand.
you can get good food and accommodation in cheap prices. may be then you will fain a confidence to travel solo
Hi. Generally I have a good intuition so I can sense whether someone is giving me a good vibe or not, if I feel even slightly uncomfortable talking to someone I just leave. I also make use of platforms like Couchsurfing to find accommodation where people are reviewed.
Hi Shashwat. Generally solo travel is how I just go about things. There isn't any purpose as such it is just what is most comfortable for me. I think the most things I've learnt from solo travelling have been about myself, and my relation with the world. I've written more in detail about this on my blog. Thanks
Personally for solo travel, I always pick an activity that I have been wanting to do for quite some time... maybe birding, or a safari, or visit a destination just to cut off and reconnect with myself. Some of the greatest learnings have been to "Go Slow" and "Be receptive to change - you may need to take a spur of the moment decision, and that mostly works out the best!
HI Aakanksha. I haven't been to those countries, I have been to Slovenia and Croatia and they were perfectly find and I hitchhiked. I would suggest going for it, but with appropriate planning about where to stay and taking proper precautions like not wandering around late at night.
Hey! I can assure anyone Romania & Bulgaria are very safe to travel to as a solo traveler. You asked about Ukraine too, but as I'm writing this answer in march 2022, we sadly all know it's a war zone.
In general, for solo female travelers it's better to go to big cities and take common sense precautions.
With the help of locals and tourists I put together this very informative article: Is Bucharest safe? You cand read it here: https://deeajourney.com/is-bucharest-safe/
Romania and Bulgaria are both very beautiful when it comes to sightseeing. Also people are welcoming, food is delicious and prices are affordable. So don't miss out. :)
Hi. Travelling is not my career as such, but it was my lifestyle. In order to travel and work at the same time I would suggest first identifying what marketable skills you have, and building your own brand to find clients online.
Dear, i am doing job 9-6 an travel i save money an travel ,but if u nwant to make career in this want to travel full time then u first see this ur passion try to stay in cheapest way , make your content good, click good photos, make great videos so the ad agency see your work an give you a job
Hi Anushree. I think it's definitely fine if you have proper planning, the weather will be difficult at that time, so maybe try and go with a local guide or group.
Hi Shivani. My favourite place is Parvati Valley - which is also very cheap. If you go to the smaller villages of Kalga and Pulga you'll find many small guest houses. I know many of them personally and they are safe :)
Hi Suresh. I wouldn't advise making a career just out of travel, and there are very few people who do just that. I would suggest finding your skillset that you can market online, and find clients, to then travel at the same time.
Hi Pallavi. I have indeed faced the same thing, I always handle it by being loud, swearing, and making the other person feel seriously uncomfortable. If someone stares are me weird I start filming them and they usually turn away. It's a tricky topic, but usually these people are cowards and if you expose them, they will shrink.
Hi Pragya. Kasol has a very mixed crowd these days. Still, I would say its completely safe to go alone. If people randomly start talking to you and you don't feel comfortable it's okay to walk away. I would suggest going to the smaller villages where the tourists are less.
Hi Kritika. I started blogging as a way for me to share my experiences with other people. What keeps me going everyday is the enjoyment I gain from my lifestyle, and being able to share it with others.
Hi Naman. The first step is to plan things properly, so first figuring out how much spare money you have and researching destinations that fit your budget.
Hi Milind. Well I have had to do this in several places, Japan was the worst. But I would cope there by using Google Translate and generally understanding what the person is saying. More than language, if the people are nice then it's not a problem to get around, as they will often go out of their way to help someone who is stranded.
