Hi, you are looking at about Rs. 500 transportation, Rs. 500 accommodation and Rs. 300 food cost per day. So, approximately Rs. 1,500 per day. So, that comes out to be Rs. 10,500 for seven days. If you don't travel to a new place every day then that will bring down your transportation expense.

The right choice would be a manali trekking and camping. Group of 25 is a large number and you all have fun and trek. The snowfall may be the most enjoyable that time. Try Manali

Hi, it is a bit cold and tough to trek in the mountains in January therefore I recommend you check out Rajasthan, White Desert of Kutch, Madhya Pradesh and Goa. If you seek an offbeat experience then head to Araku Valley, Chhattisgarh or Odisha.

Hi Harshal, July is monsoon in most parts and since you're traveling with a baby, I'd recommend places in the plains like Rajasthan, Western Ghats of Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Coorg (Karnataka) and Kerala. These places don't involve too much traveling and are ideal for a family getaway.

Hi Kavya, Banjar Valley is about two hours from Kullu. It is preferable to station in Banjar town since Jibhi, Shoja and Nagini are all within 15km radius.Check this article for more information - https://www.tripoto.com/trip/banjar-valley-itinerary
upvoteUpvotemessageComment
Hi Kavya, I don't think so, given Kullu is at quite a significant distance form Banjar and it takes a lot more time to travel in hilly areas. You can look for an accommodation in Banjar, there are multiple good options there. Jibhi is on the way from Banjar to Sojha (which is a distance of around 14 Kms. in all), so 2 of your destinations will be covered on this route. In case you haven't already traveled, have a great trip. In case you already have, hope you had a good one!

Hi Puspal, here is a sample 9 days itinerary: Day 1: Arrive in Kasol. It is ideal to use Kasol as a base camp to visit nearby places. Depending on when you arrive, you can walk around Kasol and check out the quirky shops. You can also spend some time by the river. Day 2: Do the Chalal Trek from Kasol. The 4-hours scenic walk passes through some pristine jungle. Explore the cafes of Chalal village. Make your way back to Kasol. Day 3: Take a local state bus or private taxi to Barsheni. From thereon you have two options, either you walk to Tosh or take a cab. After reaching Tosh, you can explore the village, talk to locals and experience the culture. You can trek to Tosh Waterfall as well. Spend the night in Tosh. Day 4: You can start your day with a 14km trek to Kheerganga from Tosh. The trek takes 5-6 hours and you don't need a guide. Spend the night in Kheerganga. Day 5: On your way back from Kheerganga, stop at Manikaran. Relax those tired bones on the hot springs and pay a visit to Manikar Sahib Gurudwara. Return to Kasol and spend the night there. Day 6: Take a bus to Jari and take a shared or private taxi to the spot from where the trek to Malana begins. Trek to Malana. Explore the village of Malana. For the remaining days, you can choose to explore little-visited Tirthan Valley or head to Manali.

Hi Vidisha, you will have to create a profile on http://couchsurfing.com. After that you can search for hosts in different cities in India. Is it safe? There are two things you can do to ensure safety: (i) Try to look for female hosts in your destination. Actually, most female hosts prefer to provide accommodation to other women so you shouldn't have a tough time finding female hosts. (ii) If you opt to contact male hosts then go thoroughly go through their profile. Put special emphasize on male hosts with good reviews from other female couchsurfers who have stayed with them. If they accept your request then chat with them for a few days prior to staying with them. Follow your gut feeling based on the chats. One thing I absolutely recommend is to not send requests to male hosts who have no reviews from other female couchsurfers. Couchsurfing is a great way to travel and get to know a place from local's perspective. I hope you have a good time Couchsurfing.

Hi Shreya June sees south-west monsoon pass through Sri Lanka. It only affects the south-west quarter of the country such as Colombo and Galle. The rainfall is short and sharp and passes quickly. The average daytime temperature in June is 28 Celsius. Therefore, if you want to visit Sri Lanka beyond the southwest corner then you can go to Sri Lanka in June.

Hi there, June is a good month to visit Sri Lanka, however since the south-west monsoon hits that season I would avoid areas such as Bentota, Galle, Unawatuna areas. However, If you are visiting Sri Lanka, Yala is a must go - to tourist destination to spot its exotic wildlife including elephants, leopards and polar bears. During our visit last June to Yala, we stayed at Wild Coast Tented Lodge run by Resplendent Ceylon hotels as we have got good recommendations on it. This is flawlessly located between the ocean and the jungle and is also very close to the wild animals! I can assure you it’s safe though. Their accommodations are luxury tented camps called ‘Cocoons’ & ‘Urchins’ which I think is a unique concept. While at our stay, the naturalist at the hotel took us around to educate us on the exotic animals that resided in the Yala National Park. The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodated to all our needs. You could check them out on: http://www.resplendentceylon.com/wildcoastlodge-yala/ Hope you found this useful!

Hi Devina, there are different requirements for each embassy in Schengen states. You can either apply for the Schengen visa in an embassy that doesn't require an employment letter. Or, in your case you can submit a copy of your resignation letter from the current organization along with a copy of the signed offer letter from the new job. If you haven't resigned yet then get the employment letter first, apply for the visa and then resign.
