As per your question about auli vs lansdowne
* Lansdowne is a historical scenic place famous for old temples ,British museums,churches and great hill views . while auli is famous for ski ⛷️,most amazing views of Mountains and view of some spectacular peaks of nanda devi, trishul and many more .there are good resorts to stay in and relax .
*Comparing both places , I would prefer you travelling to auli with family .Most probably you will recieve a lot of snow fall at that time . if your family is some sorta mountain and snow lovers ,auli is a perfect Destination .but if they need more activities to do than just nature , Lansdowne will be preffered.

The only place you can obtain the permit is at the border. There are two kinds of permits which are required, entry permit and route permit. Entry Permit can be obtained from the Immigration Office of Royal Government of Bhutan at Phuentsholing, located on Indo-Bhutan border. The nearest airport is the Bagdogra Airport.

By walking it will be a steep hill walk, you will not even find any shops on route to refresh yourself...so if you are ready to do this adventure you should opt for walking... safety wise i don't think there will be an issue... but believe me it will be tough uphill task to reach the fort...
UpvoteCommentHi Sarang. There are a few ways to get to Nahargarh fort from Jaipur railway station.
You can take a taxi/bus which will take you hardly 10 minutes.
Walking distance is around 5 km and will take you approximately an hour to cover. The walking route till the fort passes through the city so safety should not be a problem. Later in the walk, however, there might be an uphill climb which may prove difficult if you are not prepared for such an activity. You could get in touch with some locals and ask them for more authentic advice.

Hi! Some unconventional and offbeat destinations you can explore in Himachal Pradesh:

For the commute:
1. By plane: If travelling by air, you can take a flight to any of these three airports Kullu-Manali Airport, Dharamsala Airport and Shimla Airport
2. By train: Kangra Valley Railway station. The most scenic route to Shimla via train is taking the Kalka Shimla Toy train.
3. By Road: Road is the most efficient and also flexible way of travelling in Himachal Pradesh.
You can also take a HPDTC bus as it is cheap and convenient
If you want to take a car, you should be comfortable driving in hilly terrains. If you are not experienced, then it is better to hire a taxi.

If you are interested in enjoying the winters then you should probably visit North Vietnam (10-15 degree Celsius) but then you won't be able to enjoy water activities on any or the beaches and islands as it is closed due to cold weather.
If you want to experience dry and tropical weather in Vietnam the Dec-Jan is the best time to visit South Vietnam (20-30 degree Celsius)

I would strongly recommend Europe as June/July/Aug are the peak season to travel EU. The weather would be pleasant, food can be relished and days would be longer.
Note: Don't travel to any Asian country as they would be extremely hot to wander.
In India you can travel to Leh, Ladakh, Ooty or Meghalaya depending upon your preferred location.
