A quirky trip

The idea of a trip and planning it over, boring! This is exactly how my trip to the queen of hills, Darjeeling started. A round of drinks with friends and then a sudden impromptu decision to ride all the way from Siliguri overnight. Now that's something. A decision made that allowed us to drive or rather ride through the night. I was the pillion desperately hanging on for my life at the back. Crazy right. Well that is how we arrived in the morning to the real sweet place. The morning breakfast at Keventer's as cliched it may sound was worth it. The hot and sumptuous breakfast after smelling in the freshly baked product at Glenary's, Now that's something. The steep walk and breathing in a bit of the snow clad mountain air at the mall with the floating clouds visible like cotton candy is a treat to watch. Not to forget the visit to the wonderful zoo , a quick shopping of Darjeeling tea and stopping over for lunch to return by a shared cab with your heart or rather the brain full of memories.
