My trip commenced when I hopped into a bus for Kullu. After reaching Kullu, I took the self drive car and that's how my enthralling journey began. I found a secluded place to stay in Kullu. After an overnight stay, I headed to jibhi. It was peak season so there was a huge traffic jam on the way but somehow I managed to reach jibhi by 4pm. My stay wasn't in Jibhi. Though, I had seen this place called Tandi only in pictures but I had framed an image in my mind of how it's going to be. To my surprise, it was much more beautiful and serene than I had imagined it to be. An aloof village at a great height from Jibhi, this place was the best for spending some quiet time in the mountains, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. I stayed at an A frame cabin for 2 nights and in a treehouse for 3 nights. Though, June is supposed to be a warm month but because of the monsoon season, early mornings and late evenings were quite cold. The best part of staying at homestays is that they cater to all your requirements just by a call. They even made pakoras for me in the evenings and served juicy mangoes in dinner which was cherry on the cake after such tedious treks. I had planned to go for various treks and the only drawback while staying in Tandi was to commute all the way to Jibhi every morning as each trek commenced from there itself. I did manage to go for the very famous Jalori Pass Trek and the Cheni Kothi Trek. These were one day treks and were super fun. I even went for the trek to The Great Himalayan National Park and came across Mini Switzerland. Himachal has its own beauty and every part of it showcases something unique and special.
