I along with a group of 14 friends planned for a trip in hills and we came with the idea of Mcleodganj. So, we booked for our tempo traveller, backpacked and went off to explore the beautiful Himachal.

DAY 1: ( Jalandhar - Mcleodganj)

Day 1

Around 1:30 in the evening we started our journey , we stopped at various places enroute Dharamshala. The whole thing started with a bang as we were caught by the Himachal Police (they look sweet but are really strict) and our driver was fined for not having the permit (NOTE: Do take the permit while in Himachal). The roads can be really disturbing so do take care of that in mind but the sights along the roads are a must watch for road trips. We continued our journey to Mcleodganj, booked our hotel and took some rest.

Then we went exploring Night life and Mall road of Mcleodganj. We had dinner at the famous main Square of the city and had some fresh Momos at the local roadside stalls (Must have if in Mcleodganj). Then we explored the streets of the city and chatted with ever smiling locals.

Thats the view from our hotel room

DAY 2: (Mcleodganj – Dharamshala - Bir)

The next day started with a morning walk around 6 exploring the early morning life in Mcleodganj. The atmosphere was calming and we sat there admiring it with some street tea. But we were struck by a bad news saying Triund trek was cancelled due to heavy snowfall but we changed our plans to Bir Billing.

Enroute Bir we stopped at the famous HPCA stadium in Dharamshala. We were blown with the mesmerising view, It was magical.

Then we reached Bir and booked for our trek-camp-paragliding packages and started the 2.5 to 3 hr trek from Bir to Billing through some snow covered hills and steep slopes. The visuals were soothing to the eyes.

DAY 3: (Paragliding and the return)

Day 3

The next morning was one of the highlights of the trip , so calm and beautiful . We woke around 6 so as to enjoy the gorgeous sunrise. Then we set for the most awaited event i.e. Paragliding on India’s highest paragliding site. For any adventure lover that’s a must do on wishlist. It was around a 15-20 min flight full of enthusiasm and heart throbbing adventure.
