Day 1

किसी को घर से निकलते ही मिल गयी मंज़िल कोई हमारी तरह उम्र भर सफर में रहा।
Sometimes nostalgia is worth. Some moments are to be lived forever. I visited this hidden gem in Himachal Pradesh with my 2 more friends. This place is known as Waichin Valley/Magic Valley. This is a offbeat destination away from humans and if u hate crowd and love nature like me this the place to go. This valley lies in Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh. We can reach here by taking a bus from Delhi or Chandigarh to Bhuntar and after that we need to take a cab to a village named Malana. Malana in itself is interesting destination as villagers believe that Malana is one of the oldest democracies in the world. Villagers believe they are the descendants of Alexander the Great’s Greek Soldiers and consider themselves a pure Aryan race.
There are several houses, some little café and only 1 shop in the village to buy stuff. There are temples and villagers worship Jamblu Devta (Rishi Jamdagni) as their deity. Another interesting fact regarding this village is you get to witness untouchability in the village, as villagers consider them to be of superior race so it is highly recommended not to touch any villagers nor their temples and houses. Due to untouchability issues in the village stay in the village is not available and is available only outside village. Nevertheless as we were enjoying scenic beauty with tea, shopkeeper told about our nature’s paradise Waichin Valley. But real gem lies ahead of this village. From Malana gate a small road goes ahead 2-3kms, we walked alongside the road and reached a dam. After crossing the Malana River through dam, trek of further 3 kms starts. This trek is something one can remember for lifelong and with best friends and a good doggo friend who accompanied us on this trek from Malana Village this trek became worth my money. If you are looking places with tranquility and nature over crowd this is the place my friend go for this trip. Alongside us Malana river flows by and beautiful hills and Waterfalls appear on the way. Network connectivity will reduce as we trek and after 1.5 kms no connection is there. It is recommended to check the trek routes if in case you don’t know the way and make calls at village only, because after that no network connection available. Valley has some handful of campsites and home stays available for the stay. As evening was approaching us it started to drizzle. We had to reach someplace to stay, but there is drizzle and it was getting dark too.
And we got into another problem, we were trekking but we didn’t knew were we were heading in that valley. Due to no network connection we were not able to find our way out using Google maps also. It’s little bit of problem But luckily there are 3 trails leading to campsite and we were able to spot signs and directions painted on rocks and found our way on 3rd trail. By this time it was full dark and it started raining too.
But at last we found our silver lining within dark clouds as we managed to reach a home stay before rain storm. Host charged us 1000rs each for night stay with dinner and breakfast included in it. As we were too tired we crashed in that home stay, had dinner and slept. But little did we morning will have a beautiful surprises.

Day 2

By morning all storms passed away leaving behind a serene image, elegance at its best. I remember I woke up to this morning filled with nature’s beauty. It’s a very peaceful valley as its is a offbeat destination. We clicked some photographs and had our 5 star breakfast in this beautiful valley.
Cool breeze blowing makes you feel at peace and view is outstanding. Out from humans intervention valley has preserved its natural beauty. With breakfast (tea & Maggie), best friends alongside you, light music, cool breeze, clouds around made that moment worth remembering lifelong.

Now we head back to Kasol via Malana same route we took yesterday. This time without storm our trek was much more beautiful.
We had a little fun here and started our trek again.

We finally reached dam and from there Malana gate to take cab to Kasol for further stay. But this destination we came to know thanks to that shopkeeper from whom we purchased tea in malana. We were planning to trek somewhere else but as you unexpected plans can also go very well.
