Its Saturday , 5:30AM reached Bengaluru airport to catch a flight at 6:55AM to Guwhati. We were 7( 2 couples + 3 kids) all kids were so excited as it was there first time in flight. Flight was on time and reached Guwhati at 9:45AM. I had booked Innova from Kamakshi travels for whole trip. Cab was waiting for us and first thing we asked the cab drive to take us to veg restaurant for breakfast. There is one near to airport itself and we have breakfast there and started to Shillong. Its 2 hours journey from airport. There was checking on the way as it was election time. On the way we visited Umiam Lake where we did boating and then Wards Lake in shillong. After that we went to hotel as kids were very tiered.Stayed in Eldorado Guest House(not so good hotel , breakfast is very bad. I don't prefer). After taking some rest evening we went to Police bazar. This is the main shopping place in shillong. Roads are very small in shillong and you can see only martui 800 or alto as taxi. We had dinner at Madars cafe and then back to hotel.
After breakfast we started to Cherrapunjee ,this is a very scenic drive enabling one to see the cloud covered hills and the deep gorges. First we went Laitkor peak which is also called as Shillong view point. You need to get a permission from army as we need to go through army boundary which can be get on fly. There is an telescope and view of Shillong from it is awesome. After that we visit Elephant Falls. From we drive through Kashi hills to reach Cherrapunji. It was sunny but as soon as we neared Cherrapunji heavy rain started. Checked with soemone on this sudden rain and the answer was "It's Cherrapunji". On the way we had awesome lunch at Orange restaurant only veg restaurant in Cherrapunji. After lunch in the rain it self we visited Noh-Ka-Likai Falls and then Mawsmai Cave as rain was stopped. Again rain started and then we went to 4 season Eco resort(Nice hotel with good food) for a night stay. Whole night it was raining heavily. We couldn't vist Arwah Cave coz of rain.

Day we were waiting for as we were driving towards Cleanest village of Asia Mawlynong. First we went to living root bridge which is an must vist place. We need to walk 300 steps down to see this awesome nature bridge. Don't miss to eat blueberries and other fruits which will get you for 10RS. From there we went Mawlynong which is really a awesome village. Visitors vehicle not allowed inside village you need to walk through the small village and enjoy the beauty and neatness. One will love this village. You have couple of homestay if you wish to stay there. Good place for doing some shopping of bamboo's items and it's reasonable when compared to other place. After enjoying some beauty of village we visited balancing rock and then went for lunch. There is only one veg restaurants which 20mins from village. After lunch we went to crystal clear river Umngot where went for boating. Go for boating only in the government approved boats. One side of Lake is Bangladesh. After enjoying boating for an hour we went to visit India-Bangaldesh border. Spend some time in border and drove back to Shillong for a night stay.

Today was the just journey day. After breakfast we started to Kaziranga national park which is 5 hours journey from Shillong. On the way there is couple veg restaurant and we had lunch in one of them and reached Wildgrass resort in Kaziranga around 6PM. By 5PM it will be dark here and 5AM it will be very bright. Wildgrass resort is very old resort and descent one. We stayed here for two days.
Awoke up early in the morning , went to Western zone, Bagori for elephant safari. Safari was for an hour from 6:3am to 7:30am. We spotted lot of brids and Rhino's. After Safari went back to resort for refresh up and Breakfast. Then we visited Orchid park where we can see varieties of orchid plants and some Assam cultural programs. At 1:30PM we went for Jeep Safari at Central zone. We spotted lot of Rhino's , wild buffalos and elephants. Safari will be for 90 to 120 mins. Back to resort for night stay.

Started from Kaziranga National park to Guwahati. On the way we spotted couple of Rhino's and wild buffalos. Reached Guwahati by 3:30PM and straightly headed to Bhramaputra river for sunset river cruise. For our bad luck it was cloudy day so unable to see sunset. Then we went to our hotel Sai Kripa Inn for night stay. Very descent hotel and food was very good.
It's shopping day. Morning after breakfast we went to Sualkuchi – Silk (Pat , Muga) village. As my wife want to do shop sarees shopping ????.
Later visited Hayagriva Madhava Temple in Hajo – Religious place of Assam. Night back to Guwahati.
It's packing day , as we had our flight at 5:30PM back to Bengaluru. We did some shopping in fancy bazzar and then went to Kamakshi temple. Didn't go inside as we need min 2 hours. Just saw the temple from outside and reached airport. Bad luck flight was delayed by 1.5 hours. Reached Bengaluru at 10PM. For here our northeast trip ends.
