Reached Bagdogra airport at around 2:00 pm , hired a private taxi to Gangtok. It costed around Rs. 2500/- . It took around 5 hrs to reach gangtok and it was almost 8:00 PM. Hotel was already booked through Make My Trip. Checked into the hotel. Hotel staff was very courteous. They were taking every CoVID safety measures. Rooms were very neat and clean. Whole of my luggage was sanitised. Temperature checks were done. At 9:00 PM , went out to roam around and have some food. Found a pure veg restaurant near by. The food was good and prepared as demanded. Came back to the hotel and slept off.
Woke up in the morning. Had breakfast in the hotel. Hired a private taxi for local sightseeing in gangtok. It costed around 1500/- and the driver promised us to cover 10 places in the sightseeing. First stop was Hanuman Tok. It is a Hanuman temple and it is said that Hanuman ji rested there while going to take Sanjeevni Booti. The temple is located at an altitude of 8000 ft. and it was quite cold over there.
